WPPI is a conference and trade show that takes place every year in Las Vegas, Nevada. With a primary focus on the wedding and portrait photography industry, people travel from all around the world to see and experience the various offerings of this show. You can see live judging for one of the industry’s most prestigious award platforms. You can also take part in many different forms of live education — from large seminars to intimate photo walks — there is something to be learned for all skill levels. Then, when you walk the tradeshow floor, you’ll be able to see and get hands-on experience with some of the latest and greatest gear. In 2022, the conference took place from March 1st through the 4th. Here is everything you need to know about Flashpoint’s appearance at the show.
The Flashpoint Booth
Because this show is filled with industry leaders and the best-of-the-best products, Flashpoint was there in force — with a large booth located right next to the giant showroom floor WPPI letters. At the booth, you could find the latest products on-hand to view and demo. If a hands-on experience is what you were looking for, Flashpoint also had an amazing hand-painted backdrop set up along with an assortment of models that came and went throughout the show.
Presenting the New Glow Softbox
For the gear, Flashpoint had all the high-end products you would expect. From the small and mighty Flashpoint XPLOR 100Pro to the large and in charge Flashpoint XPLOR Power 2400 Pro R2 Power Pack. Although, the star of the show was the new Glow ParaSnap Octa Softbox. In fact, this softbox made its premier debut on the show’s demo stage and was the first presentation that kicked off the event.
Flashpoint was also a major sponsor for numerous seminars and photo walks. This allowed some of the Flashpoint Creators the ability to share their voice and show what the Flashpoint products can do. For me, it meant I could show people how capable and versatile the new ParaSnap 36 is when paired with the Flashpoint XPLOR 400 Pro.
While WPPI is essentially a conference and tradeshow, over the years it has grown to be so much more. It’s been a place of education, networking, and growth. The people and brands that attend this event are the ones that are pushing the industry forward. This makes perfect sense as to why Flashpoin was a main contributor to the event.
