The mere sound conjures images of a high tech mechanical marvel to accomplish some amazing feat (no pun).
But really, the Flashpoint Three Section Single Articulating Arm is just a cleaver combination of rods and locking levers that rotate and revolve, with a standard 5/8″ post and 1/4-20″ and 3/8″ female taps on both terminals to attach objects, enabling them to be precisely placed in otherwise difficult axis positions. The two mid-joints can slide on the rods and be locked midway at any point of the shaft, making the arm more dexterous than ever.
Look at the photos in our gallery for a few interesting configurations. Speedlights, spoons, clip clamps, mirrors, flags, LED’s, microphones firmly locked in place where you want them. You can float objects in sets, pinpoint a reflector or secure a viewfinder monitor, all with this completely amble 4 jointed, 3 section articulating arm. Attach the arm to a stand, a grip, a clamp, or a railing… there are no limits to its uses. It all folds down to a compact handful for storage or transport and weighs just 18.5 oz.
