The eVOLV200’s ever popular modular bare bulb tube component gets even more interesting with this welcome, simple accessory. The standard reflector delivers beautifully even and soft light from its stippled parabolic design. This 4.2 inch diameter ‘mini’ version optimizes the light throw even more, by allowing a mix of reflected and direct beam to reach the subject. 4 color gel disks,blue, red, green, and yellow, are included and one diffusion disk for greater light spread. A rim retaining ring holds them firmly in place.
The Mini Reflector may be inserted as part of a creative solution to maximize the output from eVOLV200’s when used in combination with the Glow S-type Speedlight Bracket with the standard Bowens mount Flashpoint 7″ reflector that is included, for example, with the XPLOR600. The smaller Mini Reflector surrounds the bare bulb and completes the parabolic effect that would have been lacking, asthe edge meets the larger diameter base of the cone of the 7″ reflector attached to the bracket. As much as 1 1/3 stop could be gained from this clever DIY amalgamation.
